The prototype for the Tatami range was developed in several stages, starting with a general discussion on the concept and my objectives, then determining its structural requirements, and then a final stage of design refinements.

Throughout this process I worked with Flavio and the team, who ensured we created a refined outcome without compromising on the original design.

We at Germax Interiors would like to thank Flavio and his staff at Brand Furniture for helping us to get this very high end project across the line.

There were challenges to make sure that the comfort of the banquette seating were right so that people felt comfortable eating, but could also remain seated for hours to enjoy their time at the Flying Fish restaurant.

We had to go through some prototype staging, which was well supported by Brand Furniture to get it right. After a couple of client visits to their factory the client approved the final prototype, so we could start manufacturing the remaining banquette seating.

We have been getting great feedback from the client since the restaurant has opened and is in full operation.
