Knowledge/experience requirements:

  • Good knowledge of the entire furniture manufacturing process

  • Frame assembly, springing, webbing, foam application, fabric/leather cutting

  • Recovering and restoring furniture (eg, lounges, chairs, beds, cushions, etc)

  • Working with both leather and fabric upholstery

  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications, plans and measurements

Desirable (but not essential) knowledge/experience:

  • Traditional upholstery techniques

  • Restoring/repairing timber

  • Template/pattern making, sewing, cushion making

  • Management/team leading
